Relishing in Murder with Honey Ham Biscuits by A.L. Herbert

As you may be able to tell, I’m in a cozy mystery mood. I’m currently reading A.L. Herbert’s Murder with Honey Ham Biscuits. It’s the fourth book of the Mahalia Watkins Soul Food Mystery series but can be read as a standalone. I have to admit, the cover is what initially intrigued me because I think all the covers in the series are adorable. But the storyline was interesting and I’m really I’m enjoying Herbert’s style of writing. Not to mention, the delicious food her characters makes my mouth water and want to cook, (which is nothing short of a miracle because I absolutely hate cooking.) Yesterday, I was also happy to discover that on this book’s publication day, Kensington Books is hosting a July Mystery and Thriller Launch Party on Facebook on July 28th! I will for sure be attending that.
