Reign: A Superb Conclusion to the American Royals Series

Thank you Penguin Random House Audio for the complementary audiobook!

Reign is the final book in the American Royals series and it was a spectacular conclusion! The narration, the plots, the twists and the feels all added up to one very entertaining novel. I’m also happy to say that it fully redeemed the not-so-great previous novel, Rivals.

While the drama was on point in this novel, the focus was primarily on Daphne and Samantha and how they grew, overcame their obstacles and found their new place in the world. However, I wish there was more Bea! Bea is my favourite character in this series because of her tenacity, her swoony love life and the monumental role she has to epitomize. And so,my craving to hear more about her was not satiated enough; hence why this was not entirely a perfect five stars for me (I gave it a 4.5 stars). With that being said, I really loved the conclusions to the storylines and you see key secondary characters from previous books make an appearance who steer the story along and provide closure to any loose ends.

Narration by the amazing Brittany Pressley was superb as always and I highly recommend listening to this one.

Reign releases today!

Book Description

A queen's life hangs in the balance, and her siblings’ decisions—about what to do, and most of all, who to love—could change the course of history. Romance. Duty. Power...only one can triumph in this stunning conclusion to the New York Times bestselling American Royals series.

America's royal family is in shambles. Queen Beatrice is in a coma and Princess Samantha has gone missing—from the look of things, she ran away with her boyfriend, Lord Marshall Davis. Which means that Prince Jefferson is currently on the throne. For some in America, it's exactly what they wanted: a King ruling the country. And for Daphne Deighton, who has tricked Jefferson into dating her again, it's the ultimate dream come true.

Surely this is all just temporary. Won’t Beatrice wake up and reclaim her rightful place? Samantha can't really be gone…can she? And Prince Jefferson will never truly be over his childhood crush, Nina Gonzalez. Right?

For the Washington family, the stakes are higher than ever. Love might save the throne….if secrets don’t destroy everything first.
